Division 8
Division 8 in commercial construction work includes openings, frames, doors, and hardware. These are the items that Block Iron and Supply specializes in. Division 8 also includes, aluminum storefronts, automatic entrances, auto operators, access control, glass, and glazing.
At Block Iron our Division 8 teams focus includes hollow metal doors and frames, wood doors, & hardware. We also provide specialty type openings such as fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP), stainless steel openings, and many others. As a distributor of doors, frames, hardware, access control and automated openings, we focus on design along with functionality, meeting job specifications, along with delivery and installation for our customers.
Division 10
Division 10 in commercial construction work includes but is not limited to: toilet partition, toilet accessories, fire extinguishers/cabinets, visual display, wall protection and numerous other misc material items. This is one of the material divisions that Block Iron and Supply specializes in.
At Block Iron our Division 10 teams focus is on providing each customer with their unique specialty product requests. If you don’t see a product type listed below, please contact us as we strive to find the product you require. As a distributor of Division 10 specialty products we work to meet the design, functionality, and specification requirements for each project. To round out a project we also provide delivery and installation services for our customers. Block Iron’s Division 10 Specialties team has access to numerous other suppliers and specialty products. Locksmith & Keying
We have in-house locksmiths which can service needs on site or in house. We can re-key locks on site, install new locks or repair existing. We have the ability to key large new construction projects in house or at the factory. Many security keys and cylinders are also available for those looking for higher levels of security. Our staff can meet with the client to survey and determine your best security solutions.
Block Iron and Supply is a Dormakaba/BEST Master Distributor for the state of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. Dormakaba migrated from working directly with it’s customers to a distributor sales model. Creating an opportunity to work directly with local people. Block Iron offers the entire Dormakaba/BEST product line and can service your BEST key system quickly and efficiently using genuine BEST lock materials.
*If you have an existing Best Key System and are looking to obtain previous records:
Fill out these forms: Final End User Information Code Release Request Form. Once completed, please email these forms to locksmithosh@blockiron.com and BEST will be able to send Block Iron your previous key records for expansion.
If someone other than a Dormakaba Master Distributor asks to release your BEST key records, please be cautious. Doing this can disrupt the integrity of the BEST Key System, and possibly the security of the building. Please note there are security companies soliciting BEST Lock “knock offs” claiming to be like BEST. If the product doesn’t say “Dormakaba” or “BEST ACCESS SYSTEMS”, it’s not BEST.

Welding & Fabrication
We have highly trained technicians in each of our fabrication shops that focus on quality and detail. We can provide custom sized hollow metal borrowed lites side lites, and door frames from all locations from our large inventory. Our multi million dollar inventory provides us the ability to provide custom hollow metal doors and frames for your quick turnaround projects. In addition we can order various custom metal from our vendors.
Carpentry
We have our in house carpenters which can machine and build wood doors and frames. We have the ability to modify existing doors along with fire label doors in house. Our in-house carpenters are highly skilled and pay close attention to detail. We offer in-house machining for those quick projects.
Spec Writing & Design
We have a large staff of professionals with architectural engineering degrees along with our staff of architectural hardware consultants and certified fire door assembly inspectors. They consult with architects, contractors, and end users to create a specification that meets the requirements for that project and complies with codes. Our Staff can help you specify the best products to meet the budget of your project while focusing on quality products.
Installation
We have installation available for simple small projects all the way up to large scale schools and hospitals. Our team is mobile enough to work on projects almost anywhere in the nation. In addition, pre hardware installation is available for those projects where the contractor prefers the hardware to be installed on the door before delivery to the jobsite.
